Heartburn is usually a symtom of acidity and indigestion in which a burning type of sensation spreads to chest and neck. Acid reflux from stomach causes burning and pain in the chest. As burning chest pain can be caused from angina therefore in such type of pain doctor's opinion should be sought.
Fatty food, spicy food, canned food, junk food, fried food and frequent tea drinkers are prone to heartburns. In routine therapy an anti acid medicine will sooth the symptom but this relief will be temporary as on quitting the medicine, a relapse is experienced.
